Why did I choose Angler’s Kingdom?

When my daughter Seanna was born I sold Way North Lodge, which I had built from the ground up. 130 miles from the nearest road was not the place to raise my children. I had no intention of getting back into the camp business at least until the kids were in school.
When I found this property on Pine Island Seanna was 4 and Hayden just 2. However I knew that a property like this comes available once in a lifetime. I was raised at a fly-in camp and know first hand how much children enjoy camp life. I wasn’t surprised when Hayden was guiding by the age of 9. (I was) With the encouragement of my wife Debra and thoughts of our children’s future I was back in the business.

ENJOY THE LEGENDARY CANADIAN SHORELUNCH!

My grandparents built Geary’s Red Lake Lodge the first camp on Red Lake in the 40s, before there was even a road to Red Lake. It is now renamed Sunset Lodge and owned by my life long friend Rene Franczak. My parents built Sportsman’s Lodge in 1959, which is a fly-in camp north of Red Lake, which is now owned by my brother Brett. My sisters have owned and operated camps. I built Way North Wilderness Camp from the ground up.
I’ve fished at hundreds of camps, outposts and lodges across Canada while producing Outdoor Encounters TV Series. I’ve taken many large groups including our Outdoor Encounters advertisers on many excursions across Canada. All of this is to say that I have the knowledge and experience to make your vacation a trip to remember for all of the right reasons.

Myself, Debra, Seanna and Hayden cordially invite you to join us for a relaxing, memorable week in this wilderness Kingdom.

For me to purchase a camp it must:

N

Be on a large water system with excellent fishing. Good enough quality and quantity of fish to maintain the interest and satisfy myself my children and my guests.

N

Be remote but with relatively easy access without the costs of flying. The portage provides just enough of a barrier to keep people from hauling in boats for day fishing while still be able to reach town when the situation dictates regardless of weather, even at night.

What are you waiting for?
