We are excited to have you visit. Please read these instructions carefully before you begin your trip.

Critical Communication & Pick-Up Protocol

There is no cell phone service or communication available on Nungesser Road. To ensure our boat is waiting for you at the bridge, we must coordinate our timing using the following confirmation system. Please use email as your primary way to reach us.

1. Pre-Arranged Time: We will set an initial pick-up time before your trip.
2. First Check-In: Email us at kgeary97@gmail.com as you pass through Dryden or Ear Falls.
3. Final Confirmation: Email us one last time at kgeary97@gmail.com immediately before you turn onto Nungesser Road.

Why this matters: It takes approximately 45 minutes to drive up Nungesser Road to the bridge. It takes our team the exact same amount of time to travel by boat from the camp. Once we receive your final email, we will launch the boat to meet you.

(Note: If you are unable to email, you can call or text our cell phone at 807-335-0204, but email is highly preferred.)

Driving Directions

• Step 1: Travel north on Highway 105 toward Red Lake.
• Step 2: Exactly 2 miles south of Red Lake, turn right onto Highway 125 toward Balmertown (drive for approximately 5 miles).
• Step 3: Pass both exits for Balmertown. As the highway curves left past the golf course (on your left) and straightens out, look for the sign for Nungesser Road.
• Step 4: Turn onto Nungesser Road and drive for 30 miles until you reach a single-lane bridge (this is the only bridge on the road).
• Step 5: Drive 300 yards past the bridge. On your right, you will see a driveway. This is the only location where you can back your vehicle down to the river.
• Step 6: Unload your gear at the river, then park your vehicle across the road to the left.

What to Do If the Boat Is Delayed

If our boat is not at the river when you arrive, please do not panic. We may be slightly delayed by weather or water conditions.

• Wait at least 30 minutes at the landing.
• If we have not arrived after 30 minutes, drive back down Nungesser Road for about 10 miles.
• Look for a high ridge where you can safely regain cell service to email us or call our cell at 807-335-0204.

Packing Reminder

Please pack all of your gear and luggage in waterproof containers or heavy-duty bags. This will protect your belongings from rain and lake splash during the boat ride to camp.
